Sean Anton Photography
That’s why I am proud to call myself a Photographer and why I started Sean Anton Photography. The ups and downs that make up life and then those brilliant milestones that redefine a person. An engagement, a wedding, a child, a family. Documenting these moments preserves those memories with a clarity that our minds sometimes cannot do on their own.
I love using photography to tell people’s stories. Blending photojournalism and fine art creates my favoured style of photography. Capturing key moments are what makes a great narrative, such as the innocent smile of a baby just days old looking up at Mum for one of the first times or the tears rolling down the face of a proud Father walking his daughter down the isle. I am one of the lucky few who loves what they do.
I was only 8 when my Dad gave me my first camera, sure it was old and didn’t work any more but I happily took it with me everywhere I went looking through the viewfinder and clicking away at the shutter. Over 20 years later and not much has changed.
To understand who I am we need to start from the beginning. born and bred Australian to Austrian parents I was always eager to travel. It was on my 19th birthday that I decided to move to Whistler, Canada where I settled as a ski addict come photographer for 7 years. It was in Whistler where I met the love of my life, my wife, Chloe, a Londoner on a gap year. We were married in Hampshire but upon returning to Whistler we took the opportunity do a ‘wreck the dress’ shoot, skiing atop the great British Columbian mountains in wedding suit and dress. Now settled in Bath I cannot leave home without my cameras for fear of missing the moment.
Seeing the excitement in the eyes of a newly married couple turning through the first few pages in their new wedding album for the very first time, giggling with excitement as butterflies are still present as they see each new image. Believe me when I say that it is one of the best feelings as part of the wedding photographer Bath community.
Photography is extremely important to me. Because we all have a story to tell. Because I want to be your storyteller.
